Unable to sign in with Security Key or Biometric

Details

If you unable to sign in using your Biometric or Security key on certain sites or devices, you will need to set up the Okta Verify app.

 

If you are able to sign into mylogin.jmu.edu using your Security key or biometric, use the steps here to set up the Okta Verify app on your phone/Tablet.

 

If you are unable to sign in with your Security Key or biometric, contact the IT Help Desk 

 

Symptoms

"the operation either timed out or failed" 

I can not sign in with my biometric

unable to sign in on my phone

Can only use Okta on one device
