To Add a New Device:
- In a web browser, go to MyJMULogin
- Sign in using your JMU eID and Password, and verify using your preferred Okta method *
* If you do not have a smartphone you will need to obtain a Security Key. For infromation on what a Security Key is click here.
- Click the MyJMULogin button in the top-right of the page.
- Click Settings
- Under Security Methods, select either Okta Verify or Security Key or Biometric Authenticator
- With either option, you will be prompted to confirm your identity first by using Okta Verify, followed by putting in your JMU eID Password
- Once verified, follow the instructions to complete the desired enrollment of your new device.
To Remove a Device:
- In a web browser, go to MyJMULogin
- Sign in using your JMU eID and Password, and verify using your preferred Okta method
- Click the MyJMULogin button in the top-right of the page.
- Click Settings
- Under Security Methods, locate the specific device you wish to remove and click Remove
- Be aware that mobile devices may only show a device name (i.e., iPhone) unless you have changed it's name within the device itself. If you have multiple records with the same name, you may accidentally remove the incorrect device. It is encouraged that when you add a device you also provide it a Nickname to ensure there is no confusion
- Click Yes
- Confirm your identity first by using Okta Verify, followed by putting in your JMU eID Password
- You will be taken back to the Settings page, where the device will then be removed
