This article will show you how to mark favorite files and folders within OneDrive or Teams / SharePoint so that you can access them all from one central location.
Your list of favorites will include items marked from your OneDrive, shared items from another user's OneDrive, and Teams / SharePoint sites. It is a great way to bring together links to frequently accessed files and folders from all across M365 and keep them in one central location for you to access quickly and easily.
Marking and accessing favorites in OneDrive
1. Access the OneDrive application on the web at https://www.microsoft365.com, or from within Teams.
2. Hover over the file or folder you want to mark as a favorite and click the Star Icon.
3. Access Favorites from the left side navigation bar in OneDrive to quickly get to anything you have marked as a favorite.
This includes items marked as favorites from your OneDrive, shared items from another user's OneDrive, and Teams / SharePoint sites. It is a great way to bring together links to frequently accessed files and folders from all across M365 and keep them in one central location for you to access quickly and easily.
You can determine the location of these files in your list of favorites by reading the path below the file name.
My files: this file is in your OneDrive.
Rodesjs's Files: this is a file shared from another user's OneDrive.
