If you are a JMU employee, you are eligible to receive one free Yubikey device during your employment. Also, if you are a student who currently has a Duo D100 token tied to your Duo account, you are eligible to receive one free Yubikey during the Duo to Okta transition. Anyone else may purchase a Yubikey from the JMU Bookstore.
Eligible individuals who wish to receive one free Yubikey must submit a request ticket. Two types/interfaces are available (USB-A or USB-C), and you must specify the device type in the request. If you have difficulty in selecting a type or completing the request, please call the IT Help Desk. Once you are notified that your Yubikey is ready for pickup, you may visit the IT Help Desk (4th floor SSC) to pick it up. IT will not send Yubikey devices via the mail. Employees may send another JMU employee to pick up a device on their behalf. Anyone picking up a device must present proof of identity (government-issued ID).
To add a Yubikey to your account, you can follow the instructions found here or stop by the IT Help Desk with a government-issued ID for assistance.
If you wish to dispose of your old Duo token responsibly, bring it to the IT Help Desk in person or return it to the IT Help Desk by campus mail (MSC 0602).
