Details
The following grace periods apply to JMU populations when exiting the university:
- Undergraduate and continuing education applicants lose all access two weeks after the start of the semester for which they applied, if they do not accept JMU's offer of admission. Bachelor of Individualized Study (BIS) applicants lose all access at the end of the semester for which they applied, if they do not accept JMU's offer of admission.
- Graduating students retain eID and MyMadison access for 60 days from their completion date. Office 365 access (including access to Dukes email) is removed on or after May 1st or October 1st, following their completion date.
- Full-time faculty retain access for 30 days. Core system access (HR, FIN and SA) and access to network files shares are removed immediately. Full-time faculty has continued access during their Grace period to the following:
- MyMadison
- Canvas
- UREC
- Zoom
- CRM Student Success - Employee
- JMU Libraries - Scholarly Collections (Such as JSTOR)
- Adjunct faculty retain access for 130 days to eID services like email, wireless networks, network file storage, As well as continued access to the following:
- MyMadison
- Canvas
- UREC
- Access to File shares
- Zoom
- CRM Student Success - Employee
- JMU Libraries - Scholarly Collections (Such as JSTOR)
- Staff lose all access immediately upon termination, except for MyMadison access, which is retained for 30 days after termination.
- Affiliates lose all access immediately upon the end of contracted services with JMU.
- Student employees, teaching assistants, and graduate assistants lose access to all systems related to their JMU employment immediately upon termination. They retain access to student systems as long as they remain a student.
