Attempt to update the Bluetooth drivers first: (Note: This requires having an Admin account on the computer)
- In a Browser, proceed to the Dell Support website
- In the search bar, type in the Service Tag (SN) from the label on the bottom or back of the computer
- Click Drivers & Downloads tab
- In the Keyword search field, type Bluetooth to find the latest Bluetooth Drivers
- Select the latest Bluetooth drivers and click Download.
- Once completed, run the file and allow the drivers to complete install (It may be required to restart the device upon installation completion)
- Attempt to connect the Bluetooth device again
Additional updates to BIOS drivers may also be required
- In a Browser, proceed to the Dell Support website
- In the search bar, type in the Service Tag (SN) from the label on the bottom or back of the computer
- Click Drivers & Downloads tab
- In the Category drop-down, select BIOS
- Select the latest BIOS version and click Download.
- Once completed, run the file and allow the drivers to complete install
- Allow the device to restart to allow updates to complete
- Attempt to connect the Bluetooth device again
