Bluetooth Connectivity Intermittently Drops

Details

Attempt to update the Bluetooth drivers first: (Note: This requires having an Admin account on the computer)

  • In a Browser, proceed to the Dell Support website
  • In the search bar, type in the Service Tag (SN) from the label on the bottom or back of the computer
  • Click Drivers & Downloads tab
  • In the Keyword search field, type Bluetooth to find the latest Bluetooth Drivers
  • Select the latest Bluetooth drivers and click Download.
  • Once completed, run the file and allow the drivers to complete install (It may be required to restart the device upon installation completion)
  • Attempt to connect the Bluetooth device again

Additional updates to BIOS drivers may also be required

  • In a Browser, proceed to the Dell Support website
  • In the search bar, type in the Service Tag (SN) from the label on the bottom or back of the computer
  • Click Drivers & Downloads tab
  • In the Category drop-down, select BIOS
  • Select the latest BIOS version and click Download.
  • Once completed, run the file and allow the drivers to complete install
  • Allow the device to restart to allow updates to complete
  • Attempt to connect the Bluetooth device again
