  11. Click Print a test page to ensure you can print
  12. Click Finish and your printer should now be functional

How to add a Printer on JMU-Owned Mac

  1. Open Finder and locate JMU Self Service in the Applications folder.
  2. When JMU Self Service opens, click Printers in the sidebar on the left.
  3. Use the search box in the upper-left corner narrow down the list of printers.
  4. Printers are searchable by name and/or location and will include either the ESN (blue tag) or department lease number. Location can be building and/or room number.
  5. When the correct printer is located, click Install under the printer name to begin the installation.
  6. When the installation completes the printer should be functional.

Additional Information
In general, printer defaults are set to lower printing costs and environmentally responsible options. For example, in most cases, color printers are set to print in black and white by default. If duplex printing is available on a printer, it is enabled by default.  If duplex printing does not function, check the settings on the printer itself to make sure duplex printing is enabled there also.
