How to Sync my Mac Password with my eID Password
- For the best results and if you are not connected via Ethernet (or are working remotely), Open and connect to JMU's VPN Client.
- Put in your eID and current MyMadison Password and authenticate with mult-factor authentication
- Once connected, open Kerberos (either via Spotlight search or the key icon on top of your desktop)
- Log in using your eID and current password (if already signed in to Kerberos, click sign out and then log back in).
- Kerberos will recognize that your current device login does not match your updated MyMadison password and will offer to sync them for you.
- Enter your current eID password in the first box, followed by the last password you used to sign in (old password)
- You should then get a message that your password has been updated and your device is now synced.
- I changed my eID password but my JMU-Owned Mac is only taking my old password
