How to Change Your JMU eID Password

Details

  1. In a web browser, go to mylogin.jmu.edu
  2. Sign in using your JMU eID and password, and verify using your preferred Okta method.
  3. Click the MyLogin dropdown under your name at the top-right of the page.
  4. Click My Settings.
  5. Click Manage Security Methods
  6. Next to Password, click Update.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. You will be prompted to verify your identity with your preferred verification method.
  9. You will then have to verify your identity with a secondary method to continue.
  10. Enter your new password and confirm it by re-entering the password again.
  11. Click Reset Password.

Once complete, you will be returned to the Security Methods page.
